SciFit
is a Windows Application containing a collection of useful data
analysis tools for a wide range of academic and industrial applications
including the design of “performance” chemicals such as pharmaceuticals
and crop protectants. It may also be used in the search for
other compounds such as flavours, fragrances, dyestuffs and
or for the prediction of chemical toxicity. Many of the
methods will be found in standard statistical textbooks and
detailed help is included for the advanced methods.
SciFit
includes:
v
A spreadsheet interface that can be used to import and manipulate
data.
v
A editable console for displaying results
v
Transformations for adding non-linear terms to the independent
variables.
v
Variable reduction using techniques developed at the Centre
for Molecular Design, Portsmouth.
v
Hadi outlier detection.
v
Principal Component Analysis
v
Multiple Linear Regression, Forward Regression, Stepwise regression,
and Advanced Continuum regression
v
Saving and retrieving models.
v
Graphical presentation includes Scatter plots, Bubble plots,
Rune diagrams, Flower Pot plots, Star plots.
v
Rotatable 3-D non-linear maps for the reduction and presentation
of multidimensional data.
v
Descriptive statistics of the data.
v
Residual plots.
v
Predictions from models.
